From Fido to Fame: The Story of Coco's Cupboard 2024 Pet Calendar Contest
Welcome to the Coco's Cupboard 2024 Pet Calendar Contest recap! In case you're not familiar, Coco's Cupboard is a wonderful 501c3 humane society located in the southern crest of Atlanta. They provide shelter, food, medical care, and love to animals in need, and their tireless work improves the lives of countless pets and families in the community. This April, Christi Baker Photography had the pleasure of running a fun and exciting pet calendar contest to support Coco's Cupboard, where pet owners could submit their furry friends' photos to compete for a spot in our 2024 calendar. It was a blast watching the 52 entries pour in, and I’m thrilled to announce that we raised over $9,900 to help Coco's Cupboard continue their amazing work. Read on to learn more about the contest, the generous weekly mini-contest donors, and the adorable pets that stole our hearts!
The Coco's Cupboard 2024 Pet Calendar Contest was a fun and exciting way for the community to support a great cause while showing off their furry friends. To enter the contest, human companions submitted a photo of their pet along with a $5 entry fee. Once submitted, photos were added to the contest website, and anyone could vote for their favorites by making a donation to Coco's Cupboard. All entrants were encouraged to share with their friends and family to vote for them. The top 13 vote getters with the most votes at the end of the contest period were crowned as grand prize winners and will be photographed by Christi at Christi Baker Photography and featured in the 2024 Coco's Cupboard Calendar. All proceeds from the sale of calendars and the contest go directly to Coco’s Cupboard in supporting their mission.
In addition to the main contest, there were also four weekly mini-contests, each with their own generously donated prizes for the entrants with the most new votes each week. Plus, we even had a few voting promotions so entrants could get even more votes on National Pet Day and Dog Parent Appreciation Day! These mini-contests add a spice of extra fun for people and their pets. Additionally, it was a fun way to encourage friends and family to vote. Some of the amazing donors included Piedmont Bark, Wild Heaven Beer, Rebel Raw Food, Xocolatl Chocolate, UniqPals, and Line Creek Brewing Co.! Each week, all entrants were given a chance to win incredible prizes such as gift certificates, leashes, treats, and toys.
The winners of the 2024 Coco's Cupboard Calendar contest were determined based on receiving the most votes. The top winner won the calendar cover feature, and the 2nd through13th place winners will be featured as a pet of a month. These lucky pets will get a professional pet photography session with Christi Baker, and their pet portrait will be featured in the upcoming 2024 Coco's Cupboard Calendar.
Each pet has their own unique personality, and I can't wait to capture their spirit during their portrait session. We know that they will each make a fantastic addition to the 2024 Coco's Cupboard Calendar.
I am overjoyed, that together, we raised over $9,900 for Coco's Cupboard through the 2024 Pet Calendar Contest. It was amazing to see so many people come together to support this wonderful cause and showcase their beloved pets. The 13 grand prize winners are truly special, and we cannot wait to feature their adorable faces in the 2024 Coco's Cupboard Calendar, which will be available for sale in October 2023.
